TP180 - The official name of residential units of the new GuocoLand development at Tanjong Pagar

TP180 is a 78-storey high-rise $3 billion mixed-development project that sits above Tanjong Pagar MRT Station. Standing at 290m above sea level, TP180 will be dubbed as Singapore's tallest residences in Singapore upon completion in 2016. Guocoland Limited, who is the developer, plans to develop two towers with high-rise residential apartments, 38 storeys of grade A offices, retail outlets and a hotel. At least 60 per cent of the maximum 1.7 million sq ft gross floor area (GFA) is allocated to offices and another 10 per cent for hotel use. This unique 67-storey office-cum-residential tower is named as Tanjong Pagar Centre. It will feature six levels of retail and F&B space linked to the underground Tanjong Pagar MRT station.

TP180 offers 181 units of very exclusive and prestigious sky homes that starts at a height of 180 m (equivalent of 50th floor) and rise up to 290m, offering unobstructed, panoramic views of city skyline and across the CBD to the Marina Bay area. Unit mix comprises 1br, 2br, 3br, 4br, Junior Penthouses and a Super-Penthouse. Residents of the 3-storey super-penthouse, will enjoy fantastic views to the North, East, and South of Singapore!  Units are oriented in the North-South direction, minimizing solar heat gain and optimizing shade.

Residents of TP180 can enjoy the benefit of 2 amenities floors: the first will include a pool deck, 50 meter lap pool, sky gym, function rooms and BBQ area on Level 39. The second at Level 52 will include a dining lounge, wine room, business centre and mini-theatre.

TP180 is designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill LLP (SOM) who's portfolio includes Burj Khalifa (the current tallest building in the world) and One World Trade Centre in New York. SOM has designed 6 of the world’s 12 tallest buildings.

GuocoLand Singapore managing director Trina Loh says that with a maximum height of 280 metres above mean sea level the proposed development will join Republic Plaza, UOB Plaza and OUB Centre in Raffles Place as Singapore’s tallest buildings.

ABOUT TP180

Within the Tanjong Pagar area, it will be the tallest project and we’ll also offer the tallest residences in the whole of Singapore,’ Mrs Loh added.

The group plans to develop two towers, possibly with a mix of uses. In addition to offices, a hotel and apartments, there will also be ground-floor retail space. ‘What makes this site very exciting is that it can be a truly, fully-integrated development above the MRT Station, plus the height of the project.

Guocoland Limited, the winner of two BCA Green Mark Platinum awards, will also incorporate eco friendly features for TP180.

TP180 sits right above Tanjong Pagar MRT station on Peck Seah Street/Choon Guan Street. This is a unique prime location in the heart of the city centre at Tanjong Pagar, the southern gateway to Singapore’s Central Business District. The culturally-rich Tanjong Pagar precinct is a well-established commercial hub with a ready catchment of retail, food and beverage, lifestyle and entertainment offerings at Duxton Hill and the historic district of Chinatown. Tanjong Pagar area has been earmarked by the Government for revamp into the next waterfront city.

Commuting to other parts of Singapore such as Orchard Road, Marina Bay, Sentosa and even Changi airport is just minutes away via MRT or car from TP180.

The centrepiece of Tanjong Pagar will be a re-imagined Tanjong Pagar Park & a City Room, which will create unique public places that provide activity and open space to visitors. The City Room will include public art and outdoor performance areas, thus creating a vibrant public environment and extending the activity hours of the Tanjong Pagar Park well beyond business hours and provide weekend attractions.

Prices of TP180 have yet to be announced but industry sources believe its excellent location will drive the prices above S$2000psf. Industry sources view this development as a way for Tanjong Pagar to regain some of its lustre which has been affected by the nearby Marina Bay.
